Nanny salary rates
In 2024, the national average hourly rate for nannies is $25.00+ per hour for one child. Additional salary factors include $2.00 extra per hour for each additional child and $1.00 -$3.00 extra per hour for non-childcare-related tasks. Nanny rates may increase with more experience.

In addition to salary, it is important to offer certain benefits to nannies. This includes mileage reimbursement for transportation related to their position. Nannies should also be provided with 2 weeks of paid vacation, a minimum of 4 sick days, and paid holidays. A healthcare stipend can be considered as an optional perk, or healthcare coverage can be provided through household employment option insurance. Offering guaranteed hours ensures that nannies are paid even if they are not needed for a work day. Lastly, implementing a workman's comp plan provides additional protection.

These are all things that Balia Nanny will discuss with you during your consultation and this is all based on the area in which you reside, how many children you need care for, their schedule, and the experience you are looking for. Rates typically are based on a starting rate for an entry-level nanny ( 3 years experience or less).
